Annais - Belgium in WW2
The brief was to celebrate someone whom we believed was a hero through typography. I chose to create a piece that explored my great grandmother, Annais' experience of Belgium during WW2. After a 5 hour (filmed) interview, I reviewed the footage and selected 100 quotes, sights, sounds and experiences. There was then a research portion of the above to include facts that related to each quote. These were finally represented through typography through a bound collection or pack of memories. The piece earned me membership to the International Society for Typographic Designers.
